Themosyscrapper03 on Etsy has awesome finds.  I have found a lot of pieces that would make the perfect stocking stuffer or gift.  Themosyscrapper03 is very reasonably priced and her charmed jewelry is really nice.

I love how she mixes different beads to make her own pieces unique.  They coming in many different colors and sizes and use different types of ear wires.   And when I say her items are affordable I mean very affordable.  What a nice fashionable stocking stuffer these would make.

Or like my husband did one year after I went to bed decorated our tree with earrings he had gotten me for Christmas.  It was so much fun going through the tree to see all the pretty earrings.

Andres from Six Under A Tree sent me the most beautiful vinyl decals for my walls. For those of you that don’t know we have been living in an unfinished house for 15 years.  We are on the final leg of having this complete and I am honored to put the Six Under A Tree’s Vinyl Decals on my walls.  I received the decals shown below and they are in my new entry way.

I’m amazed that they were easily applied and they stuck to the wall.  I’d never applied vinyl to the wall and I’m very pleased with the ease and the look.  My walls are fairly bare as I don’t like clutter.  I think this is the perfect way to decorate with out the worry of holes in the walls or damage from stickers or border.

This is a great alternative for someone living in a rental that isn’t allowed paint, paper, or other decorative items.  Six Under A Tree Studio supplies a sheet of application instructions.  Decals are removed from painted surfaces by using a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the decal and this is included in the instructions too.

This is a great way to freshen a room with our spending a lot of money on decorating.  My penny pinching self finds Six Under A Tree affordable.  This is also a great inexpensive decorating tool for the holidays.

Once A Month Grocery Shopping

I say once a month grocery shopping but I mean once a month our needs are met.  We do not go out to eat any more.  It was rarely a year ago and now it’s we just don’t do it.  Once a month I grocery shop and it takes some pretty crafty menus and budgeting to even do this successfully.  I try to make sure I budget doctor visits for this pay check too.  We get paid every other week.  One week is for needs and the other the mortgage.  My husband and I call it the beast and money pit.

Anyway, usually I shop on Friday but we did it today this month instead.  I was in shock at the number of people at Walmart but not at the grocery area.  The store was packed and the lines were long (sounds like someone recounting a story huh?), but the shelves were stocked.  When I shop on Fridays there is never enough of anything on the shelves and I usually whine about it and the fact that I have to go to 3 stores to get what I need.

Fact is I not only went to 3 but 4 stores today.  Rite Aid had Diet Coke on sale and since I’m an addict that was a mandatory stop.  Then I went to Walmart and proved to my whiny self that if the shelves are stocked I will still go to 3 stores (or 4 in this case).  Then I went to the butcher shop, who contrary to belief are cheaper than the grocery and/or Walmart and they only sell organic.  However, I was a bit miffed that they were out yes OUT of meat and they are a butcher shop (guess I know where are the people were grocery shopping today lol).

Next stop was the grocer.  This is as close as you will get to a family owned grocer and they run really nice sales.  I’m in shock that it was void of people (except one person I don’t like and if I were a better person I wouldn’t mention it but honestly I can count on one hand the number of people I do not like but she’s there on that list!)  I got out of there pretty cheap.

So I’m doing a happy dance because I the groceries were $100 less than my budget.  Then my husband reminds me I have to go back to the butcher this week to get meat (sigh).

At Ease ~RNW

I have never really had much interest in “online conventions” and such, the gatherings and so forth. But I have to admit that when I read about BlogHer09 , I shivered. I want for Winter and I to go SOOOO BAD!

I think it’s been a while that I have wanted something so much. Now keep in mind here that I do NOT like change. It just doesn’t settle well with me. It takes a while.
For instance, I finally got a new (to me) washer, now I’m thankful, VERY thankful, don’t misunderstand. But it’s ……. *gasp* …….. different!

Hubby and nephew took an hour drive one way last night to go get it, and back to hook it up. We were down to ONE clean towel. And ya’ know, the last towel on the shelf is always there for a reason. lol A hole, maybe it’s thin ….. but it’s always last for a reason.
So they bring it back, and we were fortunate enough to get this used washer, and the plastic wrapping was still on the cord! To me, that says it hasn’t been used much. Which is what we were told. We are also familiar with the guy that was selling it, we didn’t realize this when we called from the paper.

I immediately started a load of towels. All the while picking apart the new washer. “The tub is smaller, it’s smaller, blah, blah, blah“. I’m sure it makes me sound unappreciative, but really I do appreciate things. Am VERY thankful! Now I don’t do this with gifts, but with other changes. Which that probably doesn’t make a lick of sense. And if my Dr. changes, or gives me different medications, whoa look out!

I’m feeling a little more at ease, considering we went through THREE appliances in a week. Even the fact that we’re broke, I’m a little more at ease. Amazing that as frugal as I am, having shelled out $125 for a washing machine, -vs- no clean towels, I’m more at ease having spent the money. Whatta’ nut eh’.

Oh I wanted to share this with you all, I’m pretty proud. I found out I won a VERY nice gift from Mindy, visit her blog Mommies With Cents, I won her Shred Sled giveaway! Shhhh don’t tell my son. I’m going to put it away for Christmas for him.

Have Ya’ Ever And No Water For Me

The other day I had to make the “long travels” to the big town, about an hour and a half one way from us for a few things. Multiple trip of course, to make it worth the gas money over.

So we KNOW we need a new hot water tank, I knew I would be pricing one if I didn’t snatch the very first one I seen. 🙂 I was tired of luke warm straight to solid cold showers. So I did get a hot water tank, well Lowe’s has a couple of these really cool aisles with mark downs.

Let’s rewind about 20 minutes to Sam’s parking lot. Hubby got foul at me and hung up. Now we all know that pissed me off.

Come on, WHO would not get their panties in a wad over that? Anyway ……… off to Lowe’s I go.(after my rather colorful rant at hubby in Sam’s parking lot.)

So since he had hung up on me, I decide (the clever witch that I am) I’m going to take a look at their sale items, our kitchen stove was in shambles! I literally had a rock holding up what was left of the heating element. I of course being a faithful blogging witch took pictures to prove this. Seriously, there wasn’t much left of this stove to do anything with. The front got so hot that it would burn you if you leaned 1/2 inch from it, and you could use the “rock burner” and then fry an egg on the back center of the stove top.

Nothing left I tell you. There was nothing to hold new pieces in place. Soooooooo Lowe’s has a really nice glass top stove marked down from $498, to $298. I was drooling. They called for clean up on aisle 42 to avoid slips from droolage. (<— my new word)

Ok so I get the hot water tank, and fancy schmancy new (never used), glass top, stove, and am homeward bound. Well now, it’s hubby’s turn to be pissed. He swears to high hell there was NOTHING wrong with the old stove. (photo above) Long story short, the stove stayed, and we’re happy with it. And I got a hot shower.

I was on cloud 9.

NOW, let’s fast forward a few days. Come on, take a guess …

The washer took a great big giant dump. Family of FIVE, one elderly and incontinent, and NO washing machine.

I’m cranky tonight, so I hope I didn’t circle subjects in my blog entry here. Perhaps I should change my name to Madness Mommy Witch? Heh’.

And this is around the area of why I’m not drinking the water around here for awhile.

OK, now on to another subject. I have had a lot on my mind, I hope you all don’t mind reading a bit, and I would LOVE, even adore input.

I took my niece to the WIC office today to get her “official” yup your pregnant test. She’s worried, this will make her 3rd child. I have complete and total faith in her though.

She’s one of five expecting Mommies in our family. (I’m drinking NO water. lol)

So, I’m looking for a little advice here. One of the soon to be new Mommies wants to breast feed, however she’s taking some slack from others for this. Now, with my daughter I did both, breast, and bottle. However, I was embarrassed to nurse in public or around ANYONE for that matter.

Why? I have no idea. I was totally comfortable with the idea of it. Well, she’s having the very same issue. I want to help her ease her mind with her decision, and become comfortable with nursing. Since I wasn’t able to beat my own insecurities, I really want to help her overcome her own.

She seems to know quite a bit of the common pro’s to nursing, but I’d like to have something tried and true to offer her ya’ know. This is where you all come in, PLEASE give me something to hand her, to help her become more secure with her choice.
