"I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"

Skinn – Dimitri James Product – Giveaway – Ends 12/09/09

I had the opportunity to try a Skinn Product this week.  I received 2 samples one to keep and one to giveaway.  Decisions, decisions, I really had to think hard on which one I would like to try and which one I’ll sacrifice for a wonderful Networking Witches reader.

First a little about SkinnSkinn’s motto is “Refuse to settle for anything less than perfection”.  Skinn was launched in 2002 by Dimitri James.  Skinn offers products only through televised home shopping, the internet and exclusive, privately owned spas through out North America.  This has allowed Skinn to reach the maximum amount of people, while keeping overhead low.

The first product I received was Skinn Orchid Gel Mattefying Treatment. Skinn’s Orchid Gel Mattefying Day Treatment Seal will not only keep moisture and treatments in your skin all day, it also keeps dryness, pollution and sun damage out! This one-of-a-kind, exclusive formulation is the perfect no-shine, under-makeup base that reduces the visibility of pores and imperfections. Orchid Gel will help keep your skin looking matte, fresh and bright all day long, like the exquisite flower that you are.

The second product is Skinn Bright Eyes – Eye Enhancing Treatment.    This super hydrating eye brightener utilizes the latest technology in color pigments to virtually erase the look of fatigue and dark circles around the eye area without the weight and feel of heavy concealers. The light texture appears completely natural while covering dark circles and imperfections while hydrating the skin for a smooth, un-lined look. Special incandescent pigments give eyes a bigger and brighter look, even on the dullest of days.

Buy it and enjoy free shipping on orders over $50.

Win It!

One very lucky Networking Witches reader is going to win Skinn Bright Eyes – Eye Enhancing Treatment.

Tie Buddies Giveaway Ends 12/06/09

Tie Buddies was kind enough to send us a set of race car Tie Buddies for review, and are offering one of our readers their choice of Tie Buddies for a boy or a girl.

Tie Buddies are really cute, and a wonderful idea. I do want to start with there is a choking warning on the front of their package, I do think that’s responsible of them. As these are small, and if removed could very well pose a choking hazard.

These are an aid to help your child(ren) learn to tie their shoes. Not only does this help to learn to tie their shoes, it helps them tie a more secure knot. It’s not fun at any age to tie, and retie a loose shoe lace.

They are sized well enough to slide right onto laces of shoes, and little hands can maneuver them about. Creating simple stories with your child, and teaching him/her to tie their shoes can create lasting memories, and priceless quality time with your kids.

As I mentioned above we were sent Race Car Tie Buddies. Ours are blue squares, 2 with red, 2 with green race cars on them. The girls Tie Buddies are Fairies and Wands.

They really are so cute! And I think fairly priced at $8.99. Tie Buddies, ship quickly, and their site is rather easy to navigate. Easy navigation to shop on a website is a big plus from me. Nine step instructions are printed on the back of the package, as well as on their site in case the packaging gets ripped while opening them.

Win It!

Removeez Get Stuff Off Your Skin – Review & Giveaway Black Friday Event Ends 11/29/2009 @ 11 am est.

This is a very new product I found and it has impressed me.  I don’t now about you and your family but our family has a lot of things that get stuck on our skin.  From my husband using plumbing grease or working on his precious antique Jeep to my kids and temporary tattoos, markers, and/or sticky residue from bandages.

Many times I use hard nail polish removers or alcohol to remove those stubborn stains.  The Removeez website says that Removeez easily takes off:

  • Temporary tattoos
  • Bandages
  • Tape of all kinds
  • Tar
  • Sap
  • Ink/Ballpoint Pen
  • Permanent Markers
  • Residue adhesive
  • Wax used by beauticians
  • Auto grease
  • Door Grease
  • Shoe Polish
  • Shoe Glue
  • Color Copy in /Personal printer ink
  • Paint
  • Spray Adhesive
  • Tile and carpet adhesive
  • and the list keeps going

This great product comes in different scents as well:

  • Lavender/Orange
  • Eucalyptus/Orange
  • Coconut/Orange
  • Clove/Orange

With all these nicely scented options and with all my family gets in to I had to give it a try.  Abby sent me a Removeez Sample And Demo Kit with Lavender/Orange and Eucalyptus/Orange bottles.

I took a sharpie and wrote on myself and applied the product as directed  and with a bit of massaging.  It didn’t all come off but most of it did so I reapplied a bit and it all came off this time.

It was a great time to see how it worked on adhesive as well.  My husband gave blood yesterday so I worked it around the tape and came off much easier and the residue came right off.

Win It!

Removeez is offering one NetworkingWitches their own Removeez.

Print Art Kids – Review and Giveaway – Black Friday Event Ends 11/29/2009 @ 8 am est

I recently came across the cutest site.  It’s call Print Art Kids.  Right away it stood out as different.  Print Art Kids allows you to change your children’s or even your own artwork into note pads, cards or other really neat items.

I was given a selection of products to sample and review.  I’m really impressed with the quality of the print and with the quality of the paper/stock it is on.    Some of the products can even be customized with personalized messages in a variety of fonts and colors.

Holiday Cards and Postcards can be created using multiple images.  Captions are an option on the backs of all Note Cards, Holiday Cards, and Notebooks.

Print Art Kids also offers Gift Labels and Return Address Labels.  Turning your child’s artwork into useable items for family and friends for Christmas, Birthday, or other holiday gifts would be a treasured gift.

Print Art Kids is an easy 5 steps.  Step One Choose a favorite from your child’s art collection.  Step two take a digital photo of the artwork and upload it to your computer.  You can also scan the artwork directly to your computer.  Step three Select the item you wish to order form “Our Products,” then click on “Order Now.”  Step four upload your image, then follow the easy step by step instructions to create.  Step five, add the item to the shopping cart and continue shopping or check out to place your order.

Good Health Natural Products – Snacks Giveaway – Black Friday Event Ends 11/28/09 @ 10 Pm Est

Everyone needs snacks for the holidays organic or not.  It’s a need for the season with parties and gatherings.  Why not “Health It Up” with something that is better for you?  I received a box of snacks from Good Health Natural Products.

Losing taste by going organic?  Not with Good Health Natural Products.  Quite honestly I seriously don’t think I’ll go back to regular junk.  The cost of these snacks are the same as all the others on the shelves.

I was convinced that I didn’t like the Polenta Corn Chip.  I had to do my duty *sigh* so I popped a couple in my mouth and HEY they weren’t that bad.   In fact they were good.  Really good.  They come in 4 great flavors too.

The Humbles, hummus chips are my favorite.  These chips are addictive my family ate them kind of like crackers with soup and sandwiches.  The best I can describe these is that they are light and airy with lots of flavor.

Veggie Stix come in Hot or Regular.  Hot is nice and spicy and a happy medium heat.  These were my kids favorite and  my youngest wants to take them to his class for snack day.

The Olive Oil and Avocado Oil Chips are really good and taste exactly like regular kettle chips.  They have a nice crunch and go great with a sandwich or dip.

Lastly is the popcorn.  It is really good and is a great treat with hot chocolate or while you are watching  great holiday movies curled up with the family.

Win It!

Good Health Natural Products is generously giving one Networking Witches reader an assortment of their snacks.

Mandatory Entry:

Go to the Good Health Natural Products website and look at their great snacks and tell me what snacks you like and pick carefully because you may get those snacks.

South of France French Milled Soaps – Black Friday Event – 11/28/2009 @ 9 pm est

sof_heading

I have been indulging myself in some pretty fancy stuff.  Not just stuff but smelly organic stuff and I am in love.  I love anything that smells good.  Tom from South of France sent me a variety of items to try and I haven’t found anything I’m not loving.
SOF
lavender-liquidFirst I received Lavender Hand & Body Soap,  pure vegetable with essential oils.  It is cruelty free, contains no artificial colors, recyclable packaging, and no sodium laureth sulfate.  The label goes on to say that it is kettle cooked and made in small batches using traditional Marseille recipe with all natural vegetable ingredients.  This soap is heavenly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry.  I am very proud to display it in my bathroom.

Next I was  blessed with South of France French Milled Vegetable Soap in Lime Basil.  I love it.  I even got myself my own little soap container to keep my grubby little boys from using it all up.  This is made with all things I can pronounce which is a huge plus in my book.  It is not tested on animals, and it is EDTA Free.  The packaging is biodergradable and recyclable and I like the packaging and to be honest packaging does matter to me.  It is in a clear wax paper type wrapping and it looks nice.   limebasil

South of France French Milled Vegetable Soap in Pure Gardenia smells so good.  It is a small hand soap and would be beautiful addition for a guest room.
gardenia-lotion-sm
Finally South of France Body Wash and Body Lotion in Pure Gardenia and Shea Butter.  Now my 16 year old daughter and I have different tastes in scents but I’m going to have to sleep with one eye open because she is trying to steal it.  The Shea Butter Lotion reminds me of the soap we used when I was a kid and it soaks in nicely without leaving you greasy.  The Pure Gardenia is heavinly as well.
shea-butter-small
I can find no complaints with these products accept I’ll be running out soon.  You know whats coming next don’t you!  Mhm you can win it!

Jantsen’s Gift by Pam Cope & Aimee Molloy Ends 11/16/2009

Jantsen’s Gift
A True Story of Grief, Rescue, and Grace
By Pam Cope, Aimee Molloy
Hardcover Book 24.99 USA/27.99 Canada
320 Pages

The book is about a mom (Pam) who loses her 15 year old son suddenly and unexpectedly.  It follows her though her grief, going through deep depression, and healing.  This also introduces you to her supportive family and the love her husband has for her.

The book takes you to Vietnam and describes the poor conditions and the children’s need for help.  This moving story tells of how they moved their grief to “Touch A Life” the foundation her and her husband have created to help desperate children in countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, and Ghana.jantsensgift

The story of Pam Cope and her family is full of grief and recovery.  It is an inspiration to anyone to change the way they think and to make a difference in the world.  Our society is so focused on keeping up with the Jone’s and trying to be the best at everything that we rarely stop to smell the Roses.

I had a hard time putting this book down.  I had an even harder time getting through the grief and the feelings of depression that Pam went through with dry eyes.  I can’t imagine the grief her and her family went through.  Her family’s first brave trip to Vietnam and the start of the healing process.

This book should become a required read for older middle school, and high school students. It would help show how much parents truly love their children, as well as helping them to see how fortunate they are to live in the United States of America.

I cannot encourage you enough to read this book.  Joining a reading group?  Here is a great wealth of knowledge and information to help prepare you, Jantsen’s Gift Reading Group Guide.  Jantsen’s Gift is due for release 11/10/2009 and  you can check The Hachette Group.
