Kimochis Toys With Feelings Inside Review and Giveaway – Black Friday Event – Ends 11/28/2009 @ 10 am EST

blackcauldron2

Kimochi means “feeling” in Japanese.  Their company is focuses on feelings and helping to provide information and communication tools to parents, teachers, and children.  Emailing them to learn how to be better.

Kimochi has 4 plush toys to teach your child about feelings and dealing with them.  Each plush has their own personality and their website provides information for parents and teachers.

Cloud – Could is unpredictable.  Cloud can be happy or sad just by turning his head.  A complete profile has been built for Cloud.  Complete with a favorite food and number!  Cloud comes complete with a book in a peek a boo box.  Cloud is NOT for children under 3 years.

Huggs the Huggtopus is all smiles and hugs.  Huggtopus lives in Kimochi Bug’s swimming hole.  She too comes with a complete personality profile.  Huggtopus comes with a complete book with a peek a boo box.  Hugtopus has a feel guide and 3 child safe feelings.

Bugg is thoughtful and extremely cautious.  Bugs profile is awesome as well as the fact that he plays the Mandolin.  Bug comes with complete in a peekaboo box with How-to Feel Guide and 3 child-safe feelings.  Bugg is not for children under 3 years.

Lovey Dove is sweet and nuturing and is always there to help smooth out a lumpy situation.  Although Lovey is featured on the Kimochis web site I don’t believe Lovey is yet available.

Cat is the only Kimochi who knows what she wants, when she wants  it and why.  Cat  comes with 5 bandages to help heal hurt feelings, she comes complete in a peek a boo box with How to Feel Guide and 3 child safe feelings.  This toy is not for children under 3.

Our family got to review Cat.  My son really likes her and is using the feelings to show his brother and sister how they sometimes make him feel.  He is also using it to explain he day in school to me.  He loves that she has bandages and Cat is a hit with my 7 year old.

Many plush have no reason they are just plush.  I like the Kimochis because it not only gives the comfort of a plush but also has a purpose.  The purpose is both helpful and teaching.

Orglamix Review & Giveaway Ends 11/15/2009

orglamix1

I am thrilled to introduce you to Orglamix.  Cheri, the owner makes all of her products herself.  Her products are 100% pure minerals.  She started with just eye colors and now is moving forward into other cosmetics as well.

orglamixcollection

Her eye colors are beautiful and she has put many of them into kits big and small.  Check out – The Gray Lady Collection as seen below.  Legend has it the Grey Lady was a beautiful young bride, left stranded at the altar.  She dies tragically of a broken heart, but her love is never ending.  Even in death she waits for her betrothed.

OrglamixGrayLady

Here is her Centerfold Collection that I love.  Some days I don’t feel  like being fully made up.  Days that we are hiking or as of late at the pumpkin farms and this is perfect.  It evens tones and leaves you with a natural look.

orglamixcenterfold

Here is a taste of her new creations.

orglamixnewbie
I was lucky enough to try the Juxt Collection shown below.  Her description of high gloss of olive and earthy green brings a super sexy, don’t mess-with-me attitude to the mix.  I love it. It adds a bit of color but it’s also earthy and natural.

orglamixjuxt1orglamixjuxt2

Most of her customer service is the best.  She answers emails right away.  When I received my package it smelled so good and when I opened the package it came in a beautiful draw string bag with rose petals.  I’m really impressed with this full collection.

Win it!

Cheri of Orglamix has generously offered our readers the same Juxt Collection that I received for review.  Wait till you see the application instructions that are included!

Once A Month Grocery Shopping

12happydance

I say once a month grocery shopping but I mean once a month our needs are met.  We do not go out to eat any more.  It was rarely a year ago and now it’s we just don’t do it.  Once a month I grocery shop and it takes some pretty crafty menus and budgeting to even do this successfully.  I try to make sure I budget doctor visits for this pay check too.  We get paid every other week.  One week is for needs and the other the mortgage.  My husband and I call it the beast and money pit.

Anyway, usually I shop on Friday but we did it today this month instead.  I was in shock at the number of people at Walmart but not at the grocery area.  The store was packed and the lines were long (sounds like someone recounting a story huh?), but the shelves were stocked.  When I shop on Fridays there is never enough of anything on the shelves and I usually whine about it and the fact that I have to go to 3 stores to get what I need.

Fact is I not only went to 3 but 4 stores today.  Rite Aid had Diet Coke on sale and since I’m an addict that was a mandatory stop.  Then I went to Walmart and proved to my whiny self that if the shelves are stocked I will still go to 3 stores (or 4 in this case).  Then I went to the butcher shop, who contrary to belief are cheaper than the grocery and/or Walmart and they only sell organic.  However, I was a bit miffed that they were out yes OUT of meat and they are a butcher shop (guess I know where are the people were grocery shopping today lol).

Next stop was the grocer.  This is as close as you will get to a family owned grocer and they run really nice sales.  I’m in shock that it was void of people (except one person I don’t like and if I were a better person I wouldn’t mention it but honestly I can count on one hand the number of people I do not like but she’s there on that list!)  I got out of there pretty cheap.

So I’m doing a happy dance because I the groceries were $100 less than my budget.  Then my husband reminds me I have to go back to the butcher this week to get meat (sigh).

GoJane.com Review

gojanelogo

When I found out that I was going to get to do a review for GoJane, I can’t even put into words just how ecstatic I was.

I was blessed, and got to review Fur Trim Suede Pom-Pom Boot, pictured below.

gojane_2073_1025807927

If brown isn’t your color check these out. This is a boot style that I personally like. If brown isn’t your color, as pictured above, then below is shown, pink, black, grey, and chocolate.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! And I’m Loving GoJane.com

Enter Coupon Code “GJSHIP50” and get Free Standard Shipping on all US orders over $50!

I really think the price they sell for, $22.30 is a steal of a deal!

The prices on their site, absolutely amazed me, I WILL be back to their site for all of my family. I already have my eye on a few other pairs of shoes, even though hubby complains about my shoes. *sigh* He’ll get over it eh’ gals?

It’s interesting  when they came via UPS, I was literally walking out the door on my way to the emergency room, for a migraine shot. And stopped when I seen the package was from GoJane. My husband literally had to get a pocket knife on the front porch to open these so I could wear them. I was cold, and in the ER, I was sooooooo cold. But my feet were NOT. These SWEET, light weight boots can be worn up, or folded down, which was the kicker for me.

On the way out of the ER, I was complimented on my GoJane boots, and on a quick walk through a large retail store, was again complimented.

These boots are very light. Possibly a bit under sized, I wear around a 9 – 9.5 and ordered a 10, and they fit very nicely.

I have a feeling that my husband may attempt cutting the pom pom’s off so they will suit him as well. Hence why I got the pom pom’s. *grin*

GoJane.com carries MORE than just shoes and boots, and have EXCELLENT prices. Good quality, lost cost … a double dipper isn’t it?

Oh What A Day

It feels like it’s been only slightly productive.

I spoke with Harvey Prince the owner of AgeLessFantasies,  via phone this evening, a very nice guy. He’s been very generous with blog reviewers, and sponsoring their giveaways. He’s simply just buried. Sooo, right now the witches won’t be hosting, but it’s a big maybe for later. So don’t ever look away! I do hope that all of our readers, and us bloggers, remember that his product total’s for this is over $200 PER review and giveaway.

Oh, and Harvey if you are reading, you are right. My e-mail’s must be hexed.

He had issues trying to reply to me! This whole email thing may really push me closer to the edge. The edge of eaten, bouncing emails! Pushed into the depths of the wandering electronic mails. Yes, that’s it.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I bet you lean with me. And that is the companies that sponsor giveaways for us, for our blogs, and our readers will definitely go on my links to Christmas shop. It’s really not too early to think about ya’ know. Plan, plan, plan! (what is it with me and repeating things three times?)

Winter and I DO have many wonderful reviews, and giveaways coming up soon. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out. I’m never giddy, and I’m all giddy with sugar plums, and reviews dancing in my mind. (see it’s not too soon to think about Christmas.)

Ok, here we go. In the meantime, we all know that I like to read other blog reviews, and the best way to find those is to enter their giveaways. Soooooooo, here we go. I’ll be editing this post off and on this evening with links to other giveaways. Again, I ask everyone that enters, to please remember the companies that send their products for review, and host giveaways. They do deserve a Thanks!

Gobs Of Giveaways – HighIntenCity Charms Ends 9/30

Ok, so that’s all I made it to tonight. I’ll try again tomorrow to bring you all more than one. It’s been a heck of a day.

Sweet Dreams

At Ease ~RNW

I have never really had much interest in “online conventions” and such, the gatherings and so forth. But I have to admit that when I read about BlogHer09 , I shivered. I want for Winter and I to go SOOOO BAD!

I think it’s been a while that I have wanted something so much. Now keep in mind here that I do NOT like change. It just doesn’t settle well with me. It takes a while.
For instance, I finally got a new (to me) washer, now I’m thankful, VERY thankful, don’t misunderstand. But it’s ……. *gasp* …….. different!

Hubby and nephew took an hour drive one way last night to go get it, and back to hook it up. We were down to ONE clean towel. And ya’ know, the last towel on the shelf is always there for a reason. lol A hole, maybe it’s thin ….. but it’s always last for a reason.
So they bring it back, and we were fortunate enough to get this used washer, and the plastic wrapping was still on the cord! To me, that says it hasn’t been used much. Which is what we were told. We are also familiar with the guy that was selling it, we didn’t realize this when we called from the paper.

I immediately started a load of towels. All the while picking apart the new washer. “The tub is smaller, it’s smaller, blah, blah, blah“. I’m sure it makes me sound unappreciative, but really I do appreciate things. Am VERY thankful! Now I don’t do this with gifts, but with other changes. Which that probably doesn’t make a lick of sense. And if my Dr. changes, or gives me different medications, whoa look out!

I’m feeling a little more at ease, considering we went through THREE appliances in a week. Even the fact that we’re broke, I’m a little more at ease. Amazing that as frugal as I am, having shelled out $125 for a washing machine, -vs- no clean towels, I’m more at ease having spent the money. Whatta’ nut eh’.

Oh I wanted to share this with you all, I’m pretty proud. I found out I won a VERY nice gift from Mindy, visit her blog Mommies With Cents, I won her Shred Sled giveaway! Shhhh don’t tell my son. I’m going to put it away for Christmas for him.

I’m The RedNeckWitch

I come up with my nickname from Winter’s, we wanted them to correspond with another. However, I found out that on most sites I find, my name is TAKEN! Go figure. I mean really … how many RedNeckWitches are out there? lol Well just for the record, there’s no hocus pocus here unless it’s catfish bait.
Well the truth of it is, we did want our names to correspond, and it’s so ….. politically incorrect, that I couldn’t resist it. And I usually get at least a 2nd glance when I use it. Not that I want to draw attention, I just want to catch your attention, and if you’re reading this, then I think we may have succeeded.

We live in a rural area, and do many of the “country” kinda’ things to do. Fishing, hunting, riding four wheelers, own 4 wheel drive, AND we know what the 4 wheel drive is for, and when to use it, and not to use it. LOL

Winter and I did work for a beast of a site, (for lack of an uglier word) that drained nearly 2 years from us. And when I say drain, I mean d r a i n! And I could tell you some very colorful stories about it.
You’d think they would get bored of our “lowly mom selves”, however … they don’t. And curiosity gets the best of them. Anyway, that’s muddy water under the bridge.

I guess all in all I probably complain a lot, which is due to lyme disease, and rocky mountain spotted fever. If you don’t know what those are, good. But for informational purposes I’ll tell you a bit, then you can search it. lol Both are bacterias, and are transmitted via a tick bite. It goes without saying that it’s been a long year. A year ago Sept. is when I was diagnosed.

As I said earlier, we live in a rural area. I think we are rather simple. And I like it simple. I like nice things, but our lives don’t revolve around nice things. I think I can safely say we are very down to earth.
Between us we have 3 kids. His son, from a previous marriage, is  21, and my 2 kids from a previous marriage are a 15 year old boy, and an 11 year old girl. They truly are the apple’s of our eyes.
My Mother lives with us, and I’m her caregiver. She has a lot of umm, “trying” days with me. I have no regrets, but it can be very difficult.
We have 4 little dogs, commonly referred to, by others in a non loving manner as “ankle biters”, we have one outside dog, a blue heeler, he’s a real doll. And one really fat cat. Oh, and fish. Remind me sometime to tell you how to thin out fan tailed guppies without being cruel, and without upsetting an 11 year old.

Ok, enough about me. Welcome to our site, I’m happy to “meet” you. If you want to ask me any questions, please feel free! I won’t mind.

~RNW
