"I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"

Brugo Mug Review & Giveaway Ends 12/08/09

When your on the go in the mornings, do you grab your coffee and head to the car? I do. So does hubby. My coffee is always too hot for me to drink, and by the time it cools off a bit, it’s cold and tastes blah. Then I discovered Brugo.

Three lid options. Lock, tip & cool, and sip.

The lock setting seals the mug, which is perfect for traveling without wearing or spilling the beverage. (Every accidentally spilled a hot drink on yourself) Tip & Cool would be my personal “parking” mode, which is where hubby uses it the most.

Tip & Cool is awesome, it brings the beverage in the mug to a palatable temperature. Then just sip away.
My husband was going on about it, so I gave it a shot. I was able to sip the coffee, he turned it around, and said “be careful, it’s hot”, so thankfully I put it up to my lip, and ouch. I’ll leave out the other colorful language I used when I burnt my lip. Yet when turned on tip and sip, it was the perfect temperature.

The perfect cup of coffee, in the perfect “cup”. Brugo Travel Mug is complete with an easy grip shape.

Fresh coffee is brewed at around 205 degrees, however the vibrant flavors are most distinguishable and pleasing at around 150 to 170 degrees. By using a simple “tip and sip” motion, BRUGO™ sippers transfer sip-sized amounts (one fluid ounce) of their hot beverage to the temperature control chamber, where it immediately reaches this Perfect Temperature Zone. Only the liquid in the chamber is cooled and only this liquid exits the sip opening. This inventive system eliminates the need for coffee drinkers to blow on their beverage, or add ice to it (which often leaves my coffee watered down, and weak), or wait for it to cool, which in turn then leaves me with a cold cup of coffee.
The Brugo™ lid has three options: Lock, tip & cool, and sip. Using the lock setting seals the mug and is perfect for transporting the mug without spilling. Tip & cool gives the Brugo Mug user the full benefits of the temperature control chamber. Once the beverage in the mug has cooled to a palatable temperature, users simply turn the dial to sip, and drink the beverage directly. (remember, the insulated chamber, it still has plenty of hot beverage there.)

Now all of this might sound a bit awkward, I know it certainly did to me. I thought “Okay, tip around, sip it, this is going to be coffee gymnastics”. It’s not! You really have to try this to see, and experience how it works.

Around our house a travel mug doesn’t usually last long. They are often dropped and broken, cracked, don’t work, lids leak, colors fade … you name it. Brugo Mug has stood the test of time with my husband. He’s rough on travel mugs, and they very seldom last a weekend. Brugo Mug has lasted a week, and it’s still going strong. Sure, you may think, “just a week”, but you just don’t know how hard he is on coffee mugs! No color fading, no leaks, no problems! Maybe I should simply refer to the Brugo Mug as being hubby’s “sippy cup”. Since hubby stole “my” Brugo Mug, I’m looking at ordering the light blue one for myself.
