Baby Banz Review & Giveaway Ends 11/14/09 *CLOSED*
Review & Giveaway
Baby Banz. It doesn’t get much cuter than this, does it? Cute with a purpose.
The Ultimate In Childrens Sun Protection
Until around the age of 8-9 years old a child has no filters to block out UV light. Not wearing the proper lenses could actually cause MORE harm to eyes, than not wearing any eye protection at all.
Baby Banz are made with Poly Carbon lenses, and frames, with 100% UV protection.Virtually shatter proof, and can stand up to wear and tear. All Baby Banz items come with a 6 month warranty. Baby Banz can be fitted with prescription lenses. BPA & Phalate Free.
We were sent a pair of Ski Banz for review, again cute with a purpose. Neoprene band, adjustable. Vents to avoid sweating behind the coolness. Soft nylon padding for a secure, comfortable fit. Mirrored lenses to reduce glare from snow.
We’re ready to pair up a pair of Retro Banz, and a Baby Banz Sun hat for a day out!
Baby Banz Inc. is chocked full of tips, including, but certainly not limited to Sun Protection Tips, Sunburn Safety Sheet, Sun Safety Resources, Teaching Kids to Wear Sunnies, and one of my favorite areas, Sun Myths Exposed.
We protect our skin, we have to remember to protect our eyes. We apply sun block, and wear proper clothing for corresponding weather, let’s remember to protect little eyes too!
Baby Banz is offering one NetWorkingWitches reader a pair of Baby Banz of their choice.

I learned that even if you use SPF 50 your child can get burned if you don’t put enough on and also even though it is labeled waterproof you need to reapply after 80 minutes or so in the water or sooner after towel drying!

I learned lots of interesting things about UV radiation from their sun safety tips page. Most specifically that 80% of lifetime sun exposure is done before age 18 and that reflected sun is just as damaging as direct sunlight! Amazing!

The American Academy of Pediatrics says it’s safe to use a small amount of sunscreen on an infant, but do a “patch test” the day before on the inside of her wrist to check for allergies or irritation.
