"I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"

Bazura Bag Ends 12/03/09

myearth360logo

My daughter has fallen in love with the Bazura Bag that Lynn from MyEarth360.com sent us for review. If you have read much of my posting, you’ll know that I won’t rush my reviews. At all. I feel that each of our sponsors deserve our time, our thoughts, and our personal experience with their product(s).

Now my daughter has, ever so kindly helped me with this review, since I told her to not rush me. Oh boy.

She loves that the Bazura Sac is made out of used milk cartons. You know, those non bio degradable foil ones that many places serve with lunch. She loves just the way it’s made. On the inside it has a slip pocket, and appears foil, but has a nice plastic covering for easy cleaning. It’s perfect to use to carry lunch to school. Think Eco Mom! Lets not leave out that the empty doy packs, are from a “chocolate drink”.  Yes, that was a big plus in her book. Now that is a lesson of it’s own for me, I didn’t know that those annoying, empty packets have a name, doy.

The handles are the perfect size and fit for tweens! Ours is lined with green trim, and is very similar to the one pictured here with red trim. With a full zip closure.

My tween daughter is with me as I type this, and she is very impressed with how it stands alone. 🙂 She has her lunch already planned for school. I can very well see us purchasing more items made this way.

BazuraSac

Oh, I didn’t tell you how it was made yet, did I? Well, let’s get right to it.

Bazura bags are made in the Philippines by a women’s cooperative, using the juice (or in our case milk) containers. The containers as we know are not biodegradable, they clutter landfills, fields, and the streets of the Philippines.

As I mentioned above these containers are called “doys”. Recycling these doys that are obviously unwanted waste, is one way in helping to clean up our enviroment.

Purchasing one of these bags is a GREAT way to support fair trade, and and count for Our Earth.

If you aren’t into the lunch bags, then visit My360.com inthe art-school-business supplies. Which include, but certainly not limited to Laptop Bags, and Briefcases.

ecoTIP When buying recycled paper, choose post-consumer recycled (PCW). It’s your greenest option.

Check out their site for more Eco Friendly, Earth Saving Tips, including on how to get 10% back for your school.
