Cleaning your face should start at a young age so that it becomes a good habit.  Cleaning your face with an all natural product especially when you are young should also become a habit.  Good For You Girls is Naturally Good Skin Care for Girls.

  • No Synthetics
  • No Parabens
  • No Petrochemicals
  • No Dyes or Irritants.

This is what I want for my daughter who has very sensitive skin. She has been using a bar of soap and my moisturizer.  It never occured to me that there was a product for young girls.

We received Good For You Girls Gel Cleanser, Refreshing Toner, and Oil-Free Moisturizer.  Now first of all I don’t use a toner so right there mom is learning too.  I just now started going all natural and organic when possible, so this is a great time for my daughter and I both to learn.

We started with the the detailed instructions on the back that told us that you use the cleanser first, then toner, and then moisturizer and along with the use instructions we were on our way.  My daughter really likes these and I think they make her feel pretty and more grown up.

  1. Black Tea- Chosen for it’s astringent and toning.

Acrylamides – Thickeners used for a variety of cosmetic purposes. In personal care products, they act as stabilizers to add richness and body. However the material may be a possible human carcinogen because of its potentially harmful impurities. It is already a restricted substance in European cosmetics.

  2. Good: Organic chamomile extract (soothing to skin)
Aluminum ingredients (actually toxic – yuck!)

We have a tween who could greatly benefit from gentle cleansing agents and from early skin care education. Thanks for the giveaway!

  35. Good ingredient: Witch hazel distillate – A non-alcohol astringent, chosen for its antibacterial properties. It is cooling and soothing to the skin.

Bad:Formaldehyde – A preservative which includes Imidazolidinyl Urea, Diazolidinyl Urea, DMDM Hydantoin and Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate. A known irritant and potential carcinogen. It is often hidden in other ingredients, banned in Sweden and Japan mainly because of its inability to inhibit the growth of acid producing bacteria and it’s implication in cancer.
