"I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"

Ecover Review And Giveaway Ends 10/21/09 *CLOSED*

lgo_ecover

Ecover sent us ab 8.4 fl oz (250ml) bottle of Ecological Hand Soap ~ Lavender & Aloe Vera.

When using it, I can FEEL the aloe vera in this. I often don’t in other products marked as such. I have noticed that my hands are smoother, and seem to stay cleaner a little longer. To make sense of that last line, let me try to explain. I think many “anti bacterial” liquid hand soaps contain some sort of oils, which kind of cling and feels like dirt is sticking to my hands. I don’t have that feeling using this. I’m actually rather fond of this bottle. It has a nice “dose” of lavender while your using it, kind of refreshing and relaxing. Hubby and I both tested it out, and it does remove grease EASILY from your hands!

You can find product coupons on their website, linked here. Ecover Coupons

Ecovers products have been featured in more than 30 magazines! They are also sporting the award pictured below.

Eco Baby World Green Award

We are pleased to announce that Ecover has been awarded EcoBabyWorld’s Green Award for Outstanding Product 2009

Ecover All Purpose Cleaner – Natural Lemon Fragrance

If you’re wondering where you can buy such a wonderful product, like our Ecover Hand Soap, look no further.

There aren’t a lot of products that proudly display a list of ingredients on their site, however Ecover does.

This is a list of ingredients for the liquid hand soap we received.

The list below displays ingredients in descending order, with those present in highest quantities first.

  • Aqua
  • Sodium laurylsulfate
  • Lauryl glucoside
  • Sodium chloride
  • Capryl glucoside
  • Sodium N-lauroylsarcosinate
  • Coco glucoside
  • Glycol distearate
  • Parfum (contains linalool, limonene (D-), citronellol)
  • Citric acid Aloe barbadensis gel
  • 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol

From their site:

Bottle and labels are made of polyethylene; pump of polypropylene. Polyethylene and polypropylene are 100 % recyclable and can be recycled together using a low energy process.

How great is that? Well, I think it’s wonderful. And I think I’ll purchasing Ecover hand soap in the future, I hope I can find their cleaning products in our area. We live in a small rural area.

Listed along with product details on their site, are Environmental advantages of that product. As I mentioned we are in a rural area, and I was so glad to read that the hand soap is suitable for septic tanks!

Ecover is generously offering our readers a bottle of their liquid hand soap. I know our readers are going to love this as much as I do!

  175. Thanks for the giveaway…We would like to try the Bathroomcleaner; one of our bathrooms has no windows and using conventional cleaners with strong chemical fumes practically necessitates using a gas mask, so any Ecover cleaner that is effective but without harmful chemicals would be well worth a try.
