"I'm Not Ready to Make Nice"

Skin Free – A New Direction In Skin Care – Review & Giveaway Ends 10/17/2009

hplogo2

Skin Free – A New Direction In Skin Care sent me a great care package.  I was excited to try their products because they are all natural and include “0” of the following: no harmful chemicals or preservatives,  no fragrance,  no petroleum products, no colorants, no animal testing, no steroids, and they are non-greasy.  Which made me wonder do they work?

naiouliscrub

I was given a Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin, Extra Moisturizing Soap, and Whipped Tamanu Body Butter.  The products smell clean, not like they have been heavily fragranced.  First I used the Niaouli Scrub on my face.  I really liked the way it made my face feel and it felt clean.  It wasn’t super abrasive like many of the products on the market right now.

dpp_0037

<No peeking!> I needed to soap up.  The Extra Moisturizing Soap rinsed well and didn’t leave my skin feeling like it still had a soap film on it.  It wasn’t dry it was just, well, clean.  Oops before I forget, in August of 2008, Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Soap, was awarded the National Eczema Seal of Approval.

tamanu

Next was the body butter, Skin Free Whipped Tamanu Butter to be exact.  It made my skin feel really nice.  I’m in Northern Michigan and it’s cold and windy right now so my skin is already getting dried out.  It felt like my skin was having its thirst quenched.  It wasn’t greasy either so I didn’t do that awkward little wait till it dries so I don’t get it on my jammies dance.

I usually shower at night because I have to be up at the crack of dawn and as Redneck Witch will tell you I ain’t no joy in the mornin’ .  When I woke up my skin still felt nice.  Not like I needed to reapply moisturizer.  I washed my face with the Moisture bar and was ready to go.

I really like Skin Free because I am a soap and water kinda gal.  I don’t have the money or the time to spend on myself and Skin Free is very affordable and doesn’t make me feel guilty.

I got brave and yes *sigh* I have to help my 7 year old wash still or he comes out looking like he was in a mud bath.  I had him in the shower with no where to go and scrubbed him and he came clean!  Now that was a real test because he is a dig in the dirt, rough, and tumble boy.

My biggest problem with many items I fall in love with is that we live in a small area and I have to pay shipping.  Problem solved!  Skin Free is now available at many Walgreens and CVS drug stores.  Most of us have those on every corner.  I even have one in my 5000 population town.  Even without a Walgreens or CVS, Skin Free offers free shipping on $25.

Me in my OCD haste deleted my email from Skin Free so I’m waiting to see if this is a review or a giveaway.  I will let you know as soon as I do!

Testimony: I wanted to add that I’ve been using the Tamanu Whipped body butter for nigh a week now and my feet are really smoothing out.  My legs no longer look like alligator skin.  And best of all my arms.  Since I have had my children I’ve had a little bit of a rash on my upper arms.  Every time I asked the doctors they kinda nodded and shrugged.  Possibly since I’m just a mom it didn’t matter to them.  Well the rash is almost gone and only the slightest faintness of it can be seen!

WIN IT!

Skin Free has generously offered one of our readers a $30 yes I said $30 Gift Certificate to Skin Free.
