Carolina Pad Review And Giveaway

Monday, August 03, 2009 | 62 Comments

Hey y’all! I recently had the opportunity to review some school/office supplies from a company called Carolina Pad. This company has some awesome looking stuff-this is not your average, everyday Wally World school supplies/office supplies. These items are fashionable and look to be quality made. They also make me proud to be from the Carolinas…as you might have guessed from the name they are based in the Carolinas…in North Carolina to be perecise. That’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from here! I know sometimes I’m leery of buying things of this sort over the internet because well…you never know what you’re getting for real. You might wind up with something with a paper-thin cover or a 3-ring binder that doesn’t bind. Not the case here. You know that you’re getting nice-looking (yet still practical for everyday use) stuff!

Take a peek at some of the stuff I was able to check out!

And even the little pink notebook comes with a pocket on the front cover–how many times have you wished you “just had a little pouch” to stick something in while carrying a mini-notebook? I know I have but generally speaking they don’t come with them! The notebook has a little elastic strap around it to keep it closed so you don’t wind up getting your pages crumpled and torn apart, which is another awesome thing about their stuff. They go the extra mile to give customers things they want to have!

Their products have shown up in the CW’s new “90210”, ABC Family’s “Greek” and also in the hands of Miley Cyrus and Carrie Underwood! We’re not big on Miley Cyrus around here but I know there are lots of little women out there that would love to have the same things they saw her carrying around! I personally would love to send my daughter to school with some Carolina Pad items…she would be the coolest first grader in school!

I don’t know about y’all, but I get excited about school stuff. I love back-to-school shopping! I love to see all the new stuff and occasionally splurge on some of the prettier/cooler stuff for my kids. Well–Carolina Pad has just made back to school shopping a lot cheaper! They are offering my readers a discount code! If you go to their site and use the discount code BTS2009 you will get 15% off of your total order! That discount code is valid from August 1st-August 22nd! They are also offering my readers a giveaway! How awesome are they?! Y’all have the opportunity to get some really cute stuff–since when do school/office supplies actually convey your personality or causes you care about?! Since Carolina Pad came around!

For y’all they are offering either the:

Kendall Collection

or the Sasquatch Collection

Each of these collections is valued at approximately $35.00 and has a story behind them.

Sasquatch – Leave Nothing But Tracks:

Made from recycled materials, these beautifully designed notebooks, folders, binders and divider tabs also include an environmental education component that reminds young people about everyday actions they can take to become even better stewards of the environment.

Carolina Pad’s Sasquatch Web site,, is an interactive destination designed to give visitors information on environmental issues. From interactive games to informative tips, blogs and links to additional green resources, kids can use the site to make a difference. They can also connect with Sasquatch through Twitter and Facebook.

Kendall Kollection – Inspired by a Special Little Girl

The notebooks and office supplies in this collection are not only eye-catching and beautiful, but they are also a small way for a designer and a company to give back to a little girl who was stricken with leukemia. We thought you would like to know Kendall’s story.

When Jacqueline Savage McFee (, signature designer for Carolina Pad ( – the industry leader in trendy school, office and organizational fashion products, got the devastating news that her two-year-old cousin, Kendall Sierens, was diagnosed with leukemia, it brought things into perspective for her. It also created a spark. The Kendall Kollection – a collection of colorful high-end school supplies inspired by the artist’s young cousin – was born in 2008 and has been raising funds and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The partnership between Jackie McFee, Carolina Pad and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society continues for 2009 with fresh new designs. This wildly successful collection is available at major national retailers including Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Office Max, as well as grocery and drug store chains.

Kendall is now almost six-years old and in remission, but the battle continues for thousands of other children just like her. We look forward to another year of helping The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in its effort to find cures and better therapies for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
