Thank you to Pretty Please Press for giving me the opportunity to Review and Giveaway a set of their character building books.  All four of the books I received are fun reading and lessons learned.

Pretty Please Press is a publisher of children’s books that are designed to be read aloud and talked about.  The books give a message about the character and values that help parents and children think and talk about a variety of issues.

Kick Block Punch by Jacquie Hann Is the story of a boy who knows it all and slowly learns he must start at the bottom to earn a Black Belt in Karate.  The story has many places that a parent can stop and have a conversation about what is going on in the story.

Bella Basset Ballerina by Laura Aimee Garn & Illustrated by Valerie Sokolova This is a beautiful book about a Basset that doesn’t give up.  Everyone tells her she cannot be a ballerina but she sticks to her guns and works hard to become the best ballerina she can.  Bella doesn’t forget the hard work it took to become a ballerina and opens the door for other breeds to learn ballet as well.

Pynx by Jeffrey Greene is a great story of tolerance and lack of.  The story is filled with beautiful and colored pictures.  The story reminds me that sometimes people are judged too harshly before we actually get to know them..

The Scritchy Little Twittchell Sisters by Laura Aimee Gran and Illustrated by Erik Brooks This is a great story for all kids to read whether they have siblings to fight with or not.  These two sisters remind me of my own growing up.  One of my sisters and I fought every day and all night and now we treasure one another.  This story covers the fighting rather well.  Fighting like you’ve never seen but in the end they are sisters of course and love one another.
